The Role

Reporting to Operations Manager, the Contracts Administrator is responsible for ensuring that all contractual matters are properly and efficiently negotiated, documented, and implemented according to company standards. The contracts will cover a range of major projects where they are currently installing Architectural glazed façade and curtain wall, from $1m - $15m. Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Building/Construction management/Relevant field

  • Minimum three years’ experience in Contracts Administration within the construction industry

  • Confidence with procurement including preparing scopes of work, letting, and negotiating contracts

  • Knowledge of basic level contractual and SOPA legal requirements and contract administration (as well as commercial know-how)

  • Experience in undertaking cost reviews and providing reports for review at management level

  • Assisting in development of systems and procedures (process flow charts) operations manuals, project plans, internal governance

  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong written communication skills

  • Driven, motivated and resourceful - a natural problem solver

  • Adapts readily to working across different projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

  • Adept at establishing and maintaining positive, productive relationships as well as managing stakeholders - comfortable working with staff and clients at all levels

  • Familiar with Google G-suite cloud based platform

  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, MS Project, Procore and Xero (preferable)

New Opportunity - Curtain Wall Project Manager (Position Open)

My Client

Specialising in design, manufacture, and installation of Architectural façade and associated elements, this is a dynamic business that has been in operation for over 65 years. They deliver exceptional projects, in the commercial, retail, and residential sectors.

The Role

Due to the caliber of projects and future works, we require a strong Project Manager to drive the programming, site management and ensure the works are completed on time, to the highest quality and to cost.

Previous work experience in the commercial facade industry is a must, general T1 commercial management of multi-story towers and all facets of Project Management. You will have site support from a Site Manager and Contracts Administrator. You will report directly to the NSW operations manager in Sydney.

Requirements

  • Must have demonstrated previous employment with a curtain wall or glazed facade company

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in curtain wall and glazed facades. Your experience would preferably be on highrise towers (>15 storeys)

  • You will demonstrate leadership skills, and be able to call on necessary industry experience to deliver results and manage a team effectively including, installation contractors, suppliers and manufacturing

  • People management

  • Be able to interpret Architectural, Structural and Facade shop drawings such that site works are coordinated, without compromise to the installed product

  • Possess an eye for detail and quality, Strong problem solving and on the spot prioritising are desirable traits

  • You will oversee site operations with direct site reports

  • Follow current procedures within the company

  • Work autonomously

  • Proficient in Ms-Project and MS-Excel

  • Material ordering and liaison with our factory in China

  • Familiar with Google G-suite cloud-based platform

  • Proficiency with Procore and Xero (preferable)

  • Completed daily site reports including site diaries and daily timesheets
